Hi, In short, duplicated your edited version before copying it to other courses. We have the same issue and contacted Canvas support. They say it's a 'feature' and not a bug, and suggested we first duplicate the edited quiz in the mother course before making a new copy to a child course. However, this behaviour isn't logically to be expected. Moreover, if you edit the title of the quiz in the mother course, then the edited name is copied in the child course even if the content is not. I feel like this doesn't make much sense, and it's confusing because it looks like you now have the new version in your child course. Only when you open and check -or worse, when students attempt and submit the quiz- do you notice that it is still the old version. Canvas Support informed us that there isn't currently an ETA for an update on this issue... This was their reply: "Please note, that currently New Quizzes assignments can only be migrated once to any course and every additional import will create a duplicate of the first version, regardless of any changes made to the original quiz. To prevent this issue in the future, we recommend only copying New Quizzes assignments once the are completed. If you are required to make modifications to a quiz, that has been copied to other courses, you either want to manually change the copied versions or create a duplicate of the updated version and import/copy that version instead. [...] Our engineering team is constantly working on improvements for the New Quizzes tool, however we are unable to provide you with an ETA, when this limitation will be removed. The Product and Engineering department determines the priority of all issues and feature improvements and addresses them, as quickly as possible, based off all inquiries and items, that they are developing/working on." Yes, the workaround works, but this behaviour is confusing and copying the edits should be a basic feature.

I -and many of our instructors- would be SO happy to have the Rich Content Editor in Inbox. In our experience it is a flaw lacking in the current design.
We understand Canvas' arguments about keeping things simple, but the RCE is broadly used throughout (and outside) Canvas, so people are used to working with it. In other words, I don't see how this would generate confusion.
Secondly, the argument that Inbox is mostly used for short messaging alongside email is not the case for a lot of users. Our institution's policy (as in others, I've learned in Canvas User Groups) is that Inbox and only Inbox is used for one-on-one communication with students. We wish to avoid students having to use and follow up on communication through various channels. And as was already pointed out, students tend to pay more attention to Inbox messages than to Announcements. Yes, I use announcements for communication with the entire class group, but I would like to highlight words in bold type and at least add a weblink (or copy-paste text without losing the lay-out and embedded links), for instance to inform someone who was absent.
Please make this happen, we'd be ever so grateful 🙂

Yes please! We would even prefer to be able to set assignments "show per type" as the default setting on (sub)account level.

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas
Problem statement:
The calendar currently does not (no longer) allow precise timing when creating a new event: it only takes half hour intervals. Consequently, it is not possible to create an appointment at, for instance, 10.15 a.m. However, this is possible after you click 'more options'. Not all our instructors try again in this screen and are unable to create an event at the exact desired time.
Proposed solution:
Please allow for shorter intervals when creating a new event in the Canvas calendar. This reduces confusion among instructors and saves time.

Please make this possible! I don't see why this isn't available... Seems like something tons of instructors would be happy to use.
