@MelanieRuiz It may be worthwhile to reach out to the instructor of the course.  If it is really over and you are still receiving assignments, then either they are using the old course to develop their current course or they are accidentally using the wrong course.  In both cases, I think the instructor would want to know that messages are going out to the past students.   We run courses past the end date so if there are students with incompletes, it makes it easier for the instructor and student to make up the work.  We also though create sandbox courses for instructors to work on planning without notifications going out.   Hope this helps!
