Has anyone set up modules in Canvas for onboarding information for new employees?
How effective do you find it to be?
How did you determine what items to include?
Following this one as I was just thinking about this!
Susan Altland, we actually just implemented this type of "course" for the spring. It's still rough, as it's the first semester trying it, but so far it's worked pretty well. We actually just took everything normally covered in our new employee orientation and added it to Canvas.
Another example is our Adjunct Faculty Resources course. It has everything new faculty (or current) might need to know about the College and how to access/use different services. This course is public and you're welcome to check it out - Adjunct Faculty Resources
We've been using it for a few years and adjunct faculty seem to appreciate it. In fact it was this course that got our HR thinking about doing the new Employee Orientation in Canvas.
