Post global announcement for online sections only

I created a student survey to evaluate online instructors in Survey Monkey. I'd like to add a global announcement with a link to the survey that will only appear in our college's online courses. Does anyone know how I can pull this off in Canvas?

If your online courses are in their own sub-accounts, you can post global announcements to that sub-account.  However, if they are mixed and mingled with the existing courses, I don't believe there is currently a way to do that.

If you know what courses those are, you could conceivably use the API to write a course announcement into each of the courses as another option instead of using the global announcements.
