Using the Canvas app on an iPad, how can I see peer review feedback? Easily accessed on my laptop, I can't find that info on the iPad.
Hello Gwendolyn - You did not indicate if you were trying to view this as a student or if you are the instructor. I just tested this from both perspectives to be sure. (Plus, I admit I was not sure myself with peer reviews!)
If you are a student, you can click on the GRADES menu item for your class in your iPad, and then click on the assignment in question. From there, your peer review will be over on the right after you click the SUBMISSION tab. This is covered in the online guide here: How do I view assignment comments from my instructor in the Canvas app on my iOS device? . If your peers left comments on the document directly using the "crocodoc" file viewing program, those comments will be viewable by clicking on the document icon you would see immediately below any comments, also seen on the screen capture in that help file.
If you are an instructor, however, first make sure you are using the Speedgrader app, and not the regular Canvas iOS app. Then, be sure you look at the instructions here: How do I view assignment submissions in the SpeedGrader app on my iPad? By default, the assignment will open in the crocodoc file preview program with any peer comments embedded there. Non-crocodoc
comments (the "regular" ones, in other words) are indeed a bit tricky to find right away. You have to click on the little menu tab icon over on the far, far right of the screen, as illustrated on the above instruction page under the heading View Menu Tab. Then, you must click on the Comments button (number 4 on the illustration shown in that section) to view the student comments.
I tested this myself, and student peer reviews ARE indeed visible this way, though admittedly there's a few more steps to go through!
I hope this helps.
