Content uploaded via Course Migration API not appearing

I'm using the Course Migration API to import course content by uploading a ZIP file (exported from Angel) into my empty course sandbox. Following the API documentation, I was able to successfully upload the zip file and eventually see the unzipped contents in a directory under the course files. However, I don't see any course content that I expect to see, such as the syllabus or quizzes. Is there another API call I need to make in order to complete the migration?
