Is it possible to export a content page as a Doc or as a PDF?
Hello Juan Saldana...
There is a bit of a work-around I have used for other things that you might want to try with your Canvas course. Try these steps:
This is not an ideal solution by any means, and I'm not guaranteeing that it will work for every file or that the content will look exactly like what was displayed in your Canvas course, but it's worth a try. I tried it in my own account, and it seemed to work. Hope this is helpful to you, Juan!
Juan, there's nothing built in on the front end of Canvas that would allow you to do this, but you could go to the page and print to PDF. I've done that before on a few things in Canvas and it doesn't look pretty, but it works. The other option is to just copy and paste the content into a Word document (and then you could save it to pdf).
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the info. So far it has been working!
I really would like to be able to do this yet I got stuck on the "wiki content" step. I didn't see this folder.
Any clues? This would really help out our database since all our objectives are on pages and we'd like those on file for LCME accreditation. Our data was imported from Blackboard if that helps.
I know this topic is a bit old, but I have created a PowerShell script for Windows that will assist with converting content to PDF documents. The script utilizes a piece of software called wkhtmltopdf that takes the exported HTML documents and converts them to PDF. You can probably use the tool on it's own to convert pages, but give the script a try
