My courses are not showing up today!
Michele, you have posted a question to the global Canvas Community where Canvas users come from around the world to ask questions about the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System). Unfortunately, the majority of users here in the Community would not have access to your school's Canvas instance to help troubleshoot this issue. I can tell you that Canvas itself has not experienced any outages or downtime, which is something you can always check on your own at this page: Canvas Status
I would recommend that you reach out to someone from your school's Online Learning (or similar) department to see if they can help troubleshoot this issue with you. Please refer to the Canvas Guide How do I get help with Canvas? for additional information on accessing Help. If you "Report a Problem," be sure that you are on the page in Canvas--in this case, your Dashboard--where you are experiencing the issue before clicking on "Help"...as this will send some additional metadata along with your ticket to assist the Help Desk staff.
Good luck to you!
Thank you. I've called. Can't reach anyone as nothing comes up on canvas.

Michele, James Jones makes an excellent point; if you can actually log into Canvas, but don't see your courses listed, you'll need to click on the Courses button that appears at the left, and then on All Courses; the list of courses appears there.
However, since you're saying that "nothing comes up on Canvas," I'm taking that to mean nothing--that, in fact, you're not even able to log into Canvas successfully. Since Canvas itself is currently operational, that narrows the problem down to your school, which may have scheduled some downtime for its server.
I looked at what I'm pretty sure is your school's website--Chaparral High School | Douglas County School District -and it appears they use Infinite Campus as their authentication provider. When I click on the IC Portal, I get a page that reads:
This application is experiencing technical difficulty. We are aware of the issue and are working as quick as possible to correct the issue. If you have any questions please call the IT Support Center at 303-387-0001.

This is not a Canvas issue. If you can't raise anyone in your school's support staff, you could try sending an email to email@example.com if the problem is local, as it seems to be, I'm afraid you might have to wait it out.
?Thanks again KonaYes, I tried all courses, I can log in but even my email contacts are restricted to only the people I've sent email to which is my instructor at Sessions Design CollegeI'm a teacher at Douglas County School District in Gardnerville, NV and have been working on a course to finish for renewing my license! I will have to wait this out until tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can't find an IT number for Sessions--at least not on their website. Our district is switching to Infinite campus....that should be fun :-(\
Stefanie Sanders has provided good advice, but there is something else going on today that might factor into the situation (ultimately, we are a global community and so we don't know for sure). Schools have had the option to keep using the original web interface or switch to a new user interface for a while now. While many institutions have switched between semesters, Canvas has switched all institutions still using the old interface over to the new interface on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
The new interface has a dashboard that defaults to the course listing, which shows your favorite courses (ones that you had starred). If you didn't have any favorites, then it shows all of your courses. So not having any courses show up probably goes beyond just a switch over in the user interface. And none of this really applies if you had the new interface prior to today.
If the interface looks completely different than it had on Friday, then you may be experiencing some caching issues in the browser where old files are interfering with the new ones. This has bit me a few times when Canvas upgrades every three weeks. You can try clearing your browser's cache ( How do I clear my browser cache on a Mac? or How do I clear my browser cache on a PC? ). A forced reload (varies by browser, but Ctrl-F5 may work) may also fix the issue.
Finally, here is a page that will get you started using the new user interface. How do I use the Dashboard?
