Hi ... is there a report available which identifies students who have been manually added to a course?
Following up on the reply from Anthony Bunag, I think you can use a canned report.
Because you are asking for "manually added users", I think it's safe to assume there is an SIS import running which will include the unique student id from your "student information system". Based on that assumption....
If the "user_id" field is blank, then the user was not imported from your student information system, implying the user was manually created.
I hope this helps, please let us know if you come up with a different approach.
Kathleen, since this is a report that would be run at the account level, I've shared your question with the Canvas Admins group.
Because of the technical nature of this question (I don't think there is a regular report Admins can run for this), I'm also going to share it with the Canvas Developers group in the Community! They do a lot of back-end programming and creation of special reports in Canvas.
I think you'd have to do the inverse of this - look at the SIS feed to determine who was added via SIS import, which would then give you a list of who was added via manual process. That would have to be done by your Canvas admin. The only hitch to this is if a person is manually added, then later added via SIS import, they'll be on the SIS import file but of course have been manually added.
