Is there a way to annotate on top of images? I want my students to be able to analyze artwork by annotating on top of the image.

Angel Moss, no, there is no way to do this from directly in Canvas. The only thing I can think of is to have them download the image, use some other software to annotate it, then save and upload it to Canvas.
Angel Moss you could up load the images as a PDF, this then can be annotate.
In fact, you might look at something like Canvas and Perusall, especially if you are looking for a social annotation situation where students could see each other's annotations on line.
Hi Angela, if students are using an iPad, in my experience, load the picture as a PDF (as Steph above said) then in Canvas, on the iPad, you students can click on the edit tool to draw on the image (pdf).
