Modify Access to group member who jumped the gun?

This is my first Canvas semester.

I set up groups to read different chapters of the same book. There are very specific requirements for the first response and the student can't see other posts until that first response is in.

The deadline is next week.

One student has just posted that she has not gotten her book from Amazon and so can't start reading yet.

That response is officially a fail, since she did not respond to the prompt at all.

But, I am wondering if there is a way for me to block her from seeing other posts until her legitimate post is in place.

Or can I erase that post, moving her back behind the start gate?

Or is there some other question I should ask?
