Multi-year course set-up

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with setting up multi-year courses, particularly those created by SIS?

Our high school counselors would like to have courses that follow the students in each class through their four years to house resources, announcements, graduation information, etc.

For example, they would like to enroll freshmen in a 'Class of 2020' course that will be active for the next four years until the students graduate. In order to collect uninterrupted data over the next four years, they would like for this to be a single, continuous course. Because the course was originally created via SIS, I'm not sure what will happen when we roll over to the new year in Infinite Campus, and whether a new course will be created in Canvas or not (and whether the same course IDs can be used in the SIS year-to-year.)

Does anyone else have experience with this kind of request or advice about how to best implement it?

-Emily
