I sent a Welcome email to all students from the Canvas Inbox and it automatically created an Announcement with similar content, but evidently legacy information with links to old information. I went into the course immediately after sending the email, thought it was cool that the Announcement was created, and added navigation information to the Welcome Announcement using the edit function.
Someone else saw that the information was not current and updated the links and also deleted the new information.
Does anyone have a guess about how the Announcement was generated (I did clean out all old Announcements) and why the information did not match the email I sent?
