How do I break my entire list of Principles of Engineering students into two classes periods?

You may also need to contact your Canvas administrator if you do not have access to create sections within a course.

You add students to the sections from the People link in your course. When you go to add the student there will be a drop down with the different section options. Just select the correct section when you add the student (or students). Here's the link to a guide that should help - How do I add users to a course?
Tim Fitzmaurice, a lot of this depends on how your Institution uses/has things set-up with Canvas. Each Institution does things differently and ours for example doesn't allow faculty to change things like this on their own, they'd have to contact my department (Online Learning - Canvas Admin's) to get this done. As a clarification question, do you want the students in two completely different courses in Canvas or just separated into two sections in the same (single/one) course in Canvas? Also, how did the students get into your course in the first place? Did your school add them? Once we know more about your situation, we should be able to better assist you!
