Is it possible to embed a pdf into a page ?
Thanks in advance,
Jeneen, the quickest and most direct way to do this is to follow the instructions in How do I set the auto-open for inline preview for files using the Rich Content Editor?
Alternatively--and especially if you want the PDF to be dynamic--you can create your document in Google Drive, publish it, and harvest the embed code from there. You'll find a considerable amount of discussion about embedding Google Docs in Using Google Docs for dynamic Canvas content, and How do I create a hyperlink or embed a file from Google Drive into the Rich Content Editor?
Thanks for your response, I am using How do I set the auto-open for inline preview for files using the Rich Content Editor? | Canvas Instructor Guide | Canva… , and under the Link to Website URL, I cannot get the "auto-open"... Box to appear.
Jeneen, make sure that when you are in edit mode, you have clicked on the file link you just created, rather than highlighting all of the text of the link; this is as described in the guide section called Open URL Link Icon. That should do the trick.
Also, after you save your page, it might take a few moments for the file to auto preview, but your patience will be rewarded with the appearance of the panda-on-a-unicycle.
