Google Docs no longer accessible via collaborations

We are having a problem linking to Google Docs that were created from a Canvas collaboration interface. These are documents that were working earlier in the semester. Failures started popping up last Friday. Students are getting the following error message:

Google Drive Collaboration Error

It looks like this collaboration isn't working. Possible causes:

  • The creator's Google Drive account is different from the account used to create the collaboration.
  • The collaboration's creator is no longer an author on the google doc.

Contact the creator and let them know.

I believe, bassed on my own  test collaborations I created years ago, that the creator and group members can still access the files directly via Google Docs, but we can't find anywhere to tweak the doc to make it accessible through Canvas.

I was really looking for a way to submit this as a bug report, but I can't find how to do that in the new community site. Please let me know and I wall re-submit in the correct location.
