I have an account in amaasn.instructure.com, and I want to customize the Website . So How do I get access to code?
Hello, firstname.lastname@example.org , and welcome to the Canvas Community! If you have admin privileges in your account, or if you are hosting your own version of Canvas, you'll want to get started at Home · instructure/canvas-lms Wiki · GitHub
If you run into questions along the way, you can post them in the Canvas Developers group. Since you're new to the Community, you'll need to join that group to participate there. You can join by navigating to the group home page, selecting the Actions dropdown from the upper right of the page, and clicking on Join Group.
email@example.com looking at your URL, it seems that your instance of Canvas is hosted by Instructure.
If that's the case, you will not be able to modify the code base.
There is also a very solid API in place to allow you to automate many admin and reporting tasks:
Is there something specific you are looking to do?
Thanks for replying,
Yes Actually I want to add some images in courses and account section. How to do that?
firstname.lastname@example.org , from your reply, it sounds like you want to start building content in a course. Is that correct? If that's the case, and if you have admin privileges in the account, you can start customizing any course. If you're not an admin, as long as you hold a role, such as Teacher or Designer, that allows the user to customize course content, you can use the Guides for help on how to use the Rich Content Editor.
If you're a teacher wanting to add an image to the course card for your course, and if your school has turned on that feature, you can follow the instructions at How do I add an image to a course card in the Dashboard?
If you're interested in adding images at the account level--that is to say, customizing the global navigation--you'll find help at How do I create a theme for an account using the Theme Editor?
So let's narrow down your scope! Let us know your role at the school, and what you hope to do, and we'd be happy to help!
email@example.com , it's been a while since we heard from you, and we're hopeful that you were able to accomplish what you intended.
