We're currently using CAMS Enterprise and are looking for a new/upgraded SIS.
Anyone know if Unit4's new SIS has made it to market?
Reykjavik University is implementing the new Unit4 student management and we are scheduled to go-live August 1st 2017.
The system is still under development but all core functionality will be released when we go live.
We also have Christie's Education will also be installing it. Maybe Zohara Hirji can provide some more context.
Hi Rebekka, Chris,
I'm looking into Canvas - UNIT4 integration. Do you have contact with any others integrating with UNIT4?
Have Reykjavik University integrated grades and learning analytics data with UNIT4 in anyway?
I think we would only want to pass back 'letter grades' for specific assignments in a course. Is this similar to anything Reykjavik are doing with grades?
Hi Jago Brown
The Unit4 Student Management implementation has sadly been postponed at Reykjavik University as a result of a prolonged delay in the development of the system. We are therefor not yet live on that system and are doing all our integrations with Canvas to our current bespoke SIS our selves.
We have mapped our requirements for a U4SM-Canvas integration and would be happy to share any insight we might have with you.
The integration is two ways, so that you can set up assignments in U4SM that get created in Canvas and then pass the grade back to U4SM. The type of grade (letter, decimal, emojis) would be determined by the setup in U4SM if I recall correctly.
I have not tested this integration my self as it was not yet available when we were doing our initial testing of the system.
Thanks, this very useful to know. I've asked some questions for others at my institution to ask UNIT4.
When I have some responses it would be great to share insights.
A oneRoster area i'll look into soon is when creating assignments (via UNIT4) what of the following or more is possible? What we're not yet doing is set the Assignment group or any Quiz related things. But we are doing this via the Canvas API:
