In order to encourage attendance to my class of about 300 students, I'd like to give occasional Canvas quizzes during lecture. However, just providing something like a password during class won't work, since students can simply share the password with others who didn't attend. What I'm envisioning is some way of restricting the quiz to IP addresses connected to the network nearest to the classroom, so students who are physically in class can submit their quiz on a laptop or phone during class. The few students without one can just complete a paper copy. Either way, only students who came to class can successfully submit a quiz. Does anyone know of a way to make this possible?
