My canvas homepage only has enlarged icons and will not otherwise work. How do I fix this?
Hi, Gianna, do the images on your screen look something like the ones depicted in this discussion: Display of my homepage? If so, please read through the commentary there to see if any of the suggestions work for you.
I've seen this happen myself, and we were able to narrow down two possible causes:
(1) The user was using an older version of Chrome. Updating to the latest version of Chrome solved the problem.
(2) The user was experiencing a temporary internet glitch. Refreshing the screen solved the problem.
If you're using Chrome, and it's not fully up to date, try Firefox, then update the Chrome browser. If that's not the issue, try a different internet source (different wifi). And if it's not any of these things, and the remedies in the linked discussion don't help, I recommend that you submit a help ticket (How do I get help with Canvas?--use the Report a Problem option) so a member of Canvas Support can have a look at what's going on.
And if I've misunderstood what's happening, please come back and post a screenshot of what you're seeing. Thanks!
Hi Gianna D'Apolito...
I wanted to check in with you because it's been about two months since there's been any new activity in this particular discussion topic. Did the information provided by Stefanie Sanders help to answer your question? Or, are you still seeing the large icons inside of your Canvas environment? If you feel that Stefanie's answer is "Correct", please go ahead and mark it as such. However, if you are still seeking assistance from members of the Community, please post a message below so that we can continue to help troubleshoot. For now, I am going to mark this question as "Assumed Answered" because there hasn't been any new activity for quite a while, but that won't prevent you or others from adding additional replies below. I hope this is okay with you, Gianna! Looking forward to hearing back from you.
