I have set up the notifications settings in my canvas (as shown in attached screenshot), but am not receiving any email notifications. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Audrey Chin - Welcome to the Canvas Community! You did not show the rest of your screen (or your specific role--faculty or student), but first make sure if that your course site generated anything that would qualify for those. It sounds like a stupid statement, but make sure there were new Announcements, for example. (Hover your mouse over each of those left-side descriptions of content to see what they include. More details are here: How do I set my Canvas notification preferences? including a link to a PDF document that gives even more detail.)
Assuming the course is indeed actively up and running and generating things, whenever this has happened to one of our faculty members or students, my first advise is to have them check both their Junk mail folder or (if you are using Outlook), the Clutter folder. The latter is especially susceptible to gathering messages until you start "training" the system to accept them...especially if your institution is new to Canvas.
After doing that, the next step is to check with your local technical support. They should be able to determine if, perhaps, the messages are being "caught" by any institutional firewall in place or if there are some otherwise local firewall rules that are preventing the messages from going through. Again, IF your institution is fairly new to Canvas, some of this may be new for them, as well. But they should also be able to tell you if your email, specifically, is set up somehow that is preventing the messages from going through.
My final recommendation: have someone test send a message to you via the Canvas INBOX. Be sure that all settings under CONVERSATIONS on the screen you were on are set to "notify me right away." (You can always change them later.)

In addition to the great information that Ken Black was able to provide, you might also want to click on your "Account" >> "Settings" page in Canvas. On the right hand side of the page, there will be an area for "Ways to Contact". Under there, you should see your e-mail address. If your e-mail address has a yellow triangle with a "!" in it, then it means there is an issue. You would need to contact the folks at the Canvas Help Desk to have them clear that icon next to your e-mail address so that notifications are being properly sent. I've seen this happen at our Technical College with a couple instructors who were not getting Canvas notifications, and after the icon was cleared, the issue was resolved. Hope this helps.
