I copied the quiz from another quiz using the Content Import feature. In this case, students grades were not imported.
So is this a default feature or am i doing something wrong ?
Hi Chris Morgan - That is indeed the default behavior of Canvas when importing any assignment into Canvas. I could probably plow through the Administrator's manual to come up with a few reasons for this, but to directly address how you can handle this, here are some suggestions depending on your circumstances:
Frankly, I find it easier to just manually type in the grades in the new course rather than mess around with an upload, especially if other items do not match in the destination course. Obviously, though, if you're wondering about restoring scores for hundreds of students, then the CSV file would be the way to go. But you really want to look over both of those guides carefully if you do the CSV route--especially since you're dealing with two different courses.
And finally, I always recommend using the Test or Beta servers at your institution before embarking on new and, um, "exciting" things in Canvas like you may very well be doing. Details here:
