Students are receiving a "restricted website" message when they try to login. Did not have any problems before.

Commonly, in K12, this is a result of an internet filtering device which is, well I don't want to say misconfigured, but is false-positive blocking Canvas. However, if you haven't reached out to Instructure support yet, I'd start there
Likely, this is in accordance with sub-section II.A "Internet Safety" of Chapter 8 "Auxiliary Services", section 60 "Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for Electronic Resources" of Citrus County which states,
"(II) In response to the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the Citrus County School Board provides a variety of measures to ensure the safety of online activities of minors. Included measures are: (A) Filtering and blocking access to inappropriate matter on the internet..."
Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, then I'd recommend trying (1) clearing the cache on the computer - How do I clear my browser cache on a PC? and (2) switching to a different browser (Firefox or Chrome). If neither of this works then you would want to contact Canvas Support at your own Institution; this is the global Canvas Community so it's hard for us to trouble-shoot problems like this beyond the basics.
