Content missing after import. (&related questions)

Hi! I'm new to Canvas and have been experiencing some issues when setting up courses... (help?!)

 

I recently copied some quizzes to an existing course and all the content in the course syllabus disappeared. The assignments remained and the quizzes were imported, but the rest of the course content (comments, links, videos, etc) are gone.

 

In other cases, when importing the course as a whole, all the content was imported, except for the quizzes.

 

Is there a specific reason these glitches happen?

Has anyone else experienced this? Is the content retrievable?

 

 

Another thing that's been happening: it's been over a week since I've imported/copied some courses, but they're still queued, with no sign of ever running. In some courses I've tried 2 or 3 times, but none of them run; they just stay on the list. Is this to be expected? Should I try again even if they're still queued or just wait more? Will the content be duplicated (or triplicated+) if the same thing is copied? Or will copies be identified and deleted automatically?

Outcomes
