My files show a storage limit of about 250 mb, while I read in the documentation that the default is 500. Is it possible to increase this?
Mark, storage quotas are set by the school or institution, except for Free For Teachers accounts, which are limited to 250MB and cannot be increased. If you're not using a Free For Teachers account, reach out to your school's admin to request an increase to your quota. And if you are using a FFT account, consider putting storage-quota-hogs like media on YouTube, and your documents on Google Drive, and create links out to them instead of uploading them to the course itself.
Thanks for your quick reply. My I am using FFT, but your workaround should be fine. I can use my institution’s media server and dropbox for files. I have already tried it and it seems to work.
I'm glad this will work for you, Mark! If it were me, I'd double-check to make sure that students can access that material on the institutional media server by using Student View to test the links.
