Tools for recording students to gauge progress of their presentation skills

We have an instructor who would like to have students record videos of themselves doing live presentations. They would like a full camera shot of the student in the front of the room to gauge body language as well as recording the PowerPoint to grade for content. We have been using Panopto with great success for lecture capture, but don't have the bandwidth to create permissions/folders etc for individual students. We also use Camtasia, but don't have enough licenses to manage the whole group

Has anyone found an elegant, low cost solution to allow them to record on their own time and upload directly to Canvas.

@DallasHulsey posted about Screencast -O-Matic which looks promising. Any other ideas?
