I'm looking at some courses canvas has set up and the iframe videos run fun in Safari but are just blank in Chrome. Is their a Chrome setting I need to check?
Oh, lots of things don't work in Chrome anymore, including Java and Silverlight. Chrome 42 killed support for what are known as NPAPI plugins. Here is an article: Chrome 42 Disables NPAPI and Related Plug-ins: Java, Unity, Silverlight
In the long run this is good, but in the short term, I may need to use a browser other than Chrome, which makes me a sad panda.
Don't know if this is related to your issue or not, but someone posted about this type of problem with Vimeo videos embedded into websites viewed in Chrome on some Google forums. The last response in this thread mentions that there is some memory-resident Chrome executable task that needs to be closed, and then videos played when they restarted. No idea if this will help your situation or not, but I wanted to pass it along just in case.
Thanks, John Lowe!
Interesting, Dallas, I hadn't seen this. Thank you.
