Fill in Multiple Blank Naming Conventions

I have a multiple fill in the blank question and have found that naming the blanks is causing issues if I use anything other than letters and numbers.

The question is:

Based on a fingerstick β-hydroxybutyrate test cutoff of >0.45 mmol/L, what was the sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, and negative likelihood ratio?

  1. Sensitivity: [sensitivity]
  2. Specificity: [specificity]
  3. LR+: [LR+]
  4. LR-: [LR-]

If I use the above naming convention for the blanks, the blank for option 3 does not appear. I must remove the '+' in order for option 3 to be available.

Is there some issue with using characters in blank names?
