Our college is migrating from Moodle/Blackboard to Canvas/WebEx and using CirQLive to integrate Canvas with Webex. My question concerns the screen for scheduling synchronous sessions that is presented after clicking the WebEx link in the navigation menu on the left side of the Canvas course page. After scheduling a session, a "prepare" button appears for instructors as well as a "join" button for students. The "prepare" button is active and remains active up to shortly (15 minutes) before the scheduled start time when it changes to display the word "host". However, the "join" button is inactive and remains inactive until shortly (15 minutes) before the scheduled start time. Previously, we have encouraged our students to log in early to allow time to resolve any connectivity and / or audio issues. Is there any way, outside of adding to the scheduled start time or sending invite/reminders to each student after I log in with the "prepare" button, to configure the "join" button to become active 30 minutes or an hour prior to the class start time?
