On Sunday evening a student received the following 2 text messages from Canvas:
The student does have their cell phone number added to their user account, however all of their Notification Preferences have SMS/TEXT disabled and set to never notify via SMS/TEXT for anything in the Notifications grid/table.
The instructor did not do anything in the course to trigger this. In fact, the instructor wasn't even in Canvas at all this past Sunday.
I contacted Canvas support and they had to escalate it and said it was "very strange"... just curious if anyone knows what caused this.
