How do I copy a rubric that I created for one course to another course
Hello Patricia Lipsey - There are actually a couple of ways this can be done. Arguably the easiest way is when you are ready to add a rubric to an assignment after clicking the +Rubric button at the bottom. You can click Find a rubric to find a listing of rubrics from your previously-taught courses. Check this page: How do I add a rubric to an assignment? for details, but specifically the screen capture under the Find a Rubric and Select rubric headings.
The second way--a bit more cumbersome, but handy to do more than one rubric at a time--is by importing content from another course, as outlined here: How do I copy content from another Canvas course? In this case, you want to make absolutely certain that you enable the checkbox Select specific content, since I assume you already have plenty of material in the course you are importing material into at this point of the year. After doing so and giving the proper command to import, you can select specific content (in your case a rubric...or two or three!) as outlined here: How do I select specific content as part of a course import?
I hope this helps!
Thank you so much. That is a tremendous help.
In addition, if you have a number of courses or are going to be doing this a lot you might consider downloading and using this Canvancement - Sorting the Find a Rubric dialog. It will make it easier for you to find the rubric you are looking for in a different course.
