How do I figure out how to access some of my assignments. It said plugin required.
Hello megan bullington...
In general, assignments in Canvas shouldn't require any extra plug-ins to install. However, if your instructor had something embedded in your assignment or was using some kind of third-party tool within your assignment for you and your classmates, that *may* require a plug-in to be installed. Since the majority of people here in the Canvas Community wouldn't have access to your school's Canvas environment, this would be difficult to troubleshoot. The only thing I can think of would be to try a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to see if you are being asked to install the same plug-in. If that still is true, then I would recommend that you reach out to the technical support folks at Instructure to see if they can help. You can find their contact information by clicking on the "Help" icon on the left hand side of your Canvas screen.
I hope this helps, Megan!
Hi, megan bullington Welcome to the Canvas Community! Chris Hofer has given you great advice; the members of this Community won't be able to troubleshoot something as user-specific as a required plugin on a device. That said, I looked at your school's website and found this page: Online College Tech Help | Daymar College Online I immediately noticed that there is a tutorial on that page for a VitalSource eBook, and maybe that's what you need.
Given that this is not only a weekend but also a holiday weekend, school tech support is undoubtedly not available right now--but the page linked above also has a 24/7 Canvas Hotline, and a member of Canvas Support will be able to look at the particulars of your setup (device, browser, and so forth) to get you going again.
