What triggers a message to go into the state of canceled?
This is from Support: If you look at the message directly above the "Cancelled" message, it is the same notification. The one above it was "Sent", but at a later time. This is because of the way the notifications are triggered. Each time a grade is changed, a notification is queued up. If no further changes are made to the grade within the next hour, the notification will send out. If any new changes are made within the hour of the previous grade change, the first notification is canceled, and the second is queued.
just guessing here - maybe a bad email address. this can happen if the user's email address is no longer valid, or if the email server takes too long to respond. Either way, I'd suggest contacting your school's support team to investigate, as until it is resolved the student won't get the messages.
I would like to think that is the case but this canceled message falls between several sent notifications and like notifications and from the same class. The email address is fine.
