Hello I am the Canvas admin for my school district and an instructor. I am looking for tips to easy and efficiently help my math instructors utilize Canvas quizzes. Any pointers?
What type of math questions do your Instructors want to utilize?
I am primarily looking for Algebra I, II, and Geometry.
You've asked a very broad question about question banks. If you are going to use publisher content, you may be able to ask them for pre-made canvas quiz banks. Pearson provides them for one of the classes I teach. I also create my own questions and question banks. There are lots of different ways to organize these banks. I settled on a system that works for me. I make my question banks fairly small - they cover a specific topic that I will quiz on, and I even have different banks based on difficulty. This makes setting up quizzes very easy because I just ask the quiz engine to pull a question or two from each bank randomly. You may want to set up some 'master' quiz banks, and then have each instructor customize them for their own quizzes. Do your instructors share problems?
Putting a lot of thought into quiz banks really pays off.
