Is there a way to tell if a specific student accesses a resource, or engages with a page, assignment etc. on Canvas? Specifically: If I have an embedded lecture video on Canvas, can I determine if a student watches the video?

The student access report will let you know how many times a student has clicked on something in the course and the last time they clicked on it. This means the most you can tell for a video if the link is directly on Modules is that they clicked on it. There is no way to tell, even if they clicked on it, whether they watched it or not. If you're trying to do this on a large scale you might want to try using this - Obtaining and using Access Report data for an entire course
Hello Lara Ramsay ...
I noticed that it has been over two months since you first posted this question here in the Canvas Community, and so I thought that I would check in with you. Have you had an opportunity to review the response posted by Kona Jones on June 10th? If so, did it help to answer your question? Or, are you still seeking some assistance with this question? If you are still needing help, please come back to this thread to post an update so that someone from the Community can help you. However, if you feel that Kona's response has helped to answer your question, please go ahead and mark it as "Correct". For now, since we've not heard from you and since there hasn't been any new activity for over two months, I'm going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered". However, that won't prevent you or others from posting additional questions/comments below. I hope that's okay with you, Lara. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon!
Thanks for the answers and support. I found a software that will suit my purposes. It's called Yuja and it's LTI with Canvas.
