WAVE Public Webpages

I was wondering if you could offer some guidance about using material from public webpages. I should begin by mentioning that this will be in a face-to-face classroom.
I’d like to have my students engage the debate about free speech on college campuses, and there are several online articles that would be useful. But when I run a WAVE report on the pages, which are from prominent outlets like The New Yorker and The Atlantic, I either can’t get a report because the page requires cookies or there are quite a few errors.
The compounding problem is that I’d like the students to be able to print out the article so they can annotate it.
I can grab the content and paste it into Word and include a citation, but I don’t think that will meet copyright guidelines.
I appreciate any help you can offer.

(I'm passing along this question from an instructor, that I'm not sure how to answer entirely.)
