Is there away to imbed pdf notes into the course calendar?
Can I import directly from my computer to calendar or do I have to upload to files first?
Thank you for your time and help.
Hi Rebecca Pearlman -- There are a couple options for you, depending on how you'd like to organize your course. In either case, if you want to link to a PDF that is saved in Canvas, it's easier to upload the PDF into a folder in your course's Files before moving on. I'd also recommend creating a naming convention that is easy to follow -- such as: 2017_06_16_Notes.pdf) -- so you can easily identify which PDF notes belongs to which class period.
You can create an Event on your course's Calendar and then click "More Options". On this screen, you can write a short note and insert a link to your notes...from Canvas Files or Google Drive, whichever is easier for you.
Another choice is to create a new Page, and you can then archive notes through a series of links, organized by date. The link to the archive could be then added to your home page or an announcement. This approach is nice if you want to reduce the number of items that appear on your Course Calendar.
