Next, take a look at Panopto's support site. The institution I am at also uses Panopto, and although I do not directly support it, I will occasionally help troubleshoot some user issues. The main document for you to check when viewing Panopto videos is this one, provided on their site: How to Troubleshoot Panopto Viewing Issues | Panopto Support
Take a look at that page and double-check your browser settings against all that they recommend. A rather less helpful document once you get up and running is this one: How to Find and View Panopto Recordings in Canvas - Students | Panopto Support . (I'm assuming you are a student.)

The only way for Panopto videos to work is to allow anyone with the link to view the videos, and not require logins. This pretty much defeats the purpose for using a service like Panopto to secure school videos.
Thanks, Robert Caldwell. I didn't realize that. I have also generally heard bad things about the Panopto app itself, so unfortunately it seems that Panopto is often best-used on a regular computer, which is a shame since I generally otherwise like it from the faculty perspective. (But perhaps I should not from the student perspective, which is what counts!)
