I am trying to take part in a discussion in the forum but there is no way I can do so. Any assistance would be most greatly appreciated.
Hi Bonnie and welcome to the Canvas Community!
The Canvas Community is a world-wide Community of Canvas users where we discuss Canvas in general, and where there are many resources available for Canvas users. However, as such, we do not have access to individual school instances or Canvas nor their classrooms. Your question is better suited for your Instructor or the Canvas Support department at your school.
You can message your instructor through the Canvas Inbox How do I send a message to a user in a course in Conversations as a student? (or however your instructor has requested you to communicate with him/her).
To submit a support ticket:
However, I strongly suspect your instructor will be your best bet, because this discussion may have have been closed for comments.
I hope this helps,
Kelley has given you great guidance, Bonnie. I'd only add that if you're trying to post a reply to a discussion here in the Community ("the forum"), rather than in your Canvas course, that discussion might be in a group of which you're not yet a member. Most Community groups allow members to read and search the content, but if you want to contribute, you need to join the group first. To do that, navigate to the home page for the group and select the Join Group option from the Actions dropdown at the upper right of the page.
But if it's a discussion in a Canvas course, yes--contact your instructor directly.
Oooooooooo, good Catch Stefanie I always think of Canvas first when I hear "Discussions"! Thanks for covering that.
I am most dissatisfied with the help (or lack of it) from the course tutors regarding my query I sent days ago. You all think its a great joke and haven't given me any reasonable advice at all. My tutor for this course hasn't answered me even though I have emailed her several times.
I certainly will not be recommending this course or company to anyone!
Bonnie, I'm sorry that you're having problems with your course tutors, but per Kelly's original reply, where you have posted your question (and this response) is separate from where you are taking your course and we don't have access to your specific course. Maybe if you provide some information about where you are taking your course we could provide additional assistance. Even if you could provide the URL (web address at the top of your course page) to your course that would help!
