I am completing a career exploration paper and the teacher says to follow the MLA guidelines, and to refer to canvas for details. I searched it and nothing. Anyone have an answer? TIA
The Canvas community where you have asked this question is made up of users from around the world and it sounds like you're looking for a resource that should be available at your institution. We don't have access to your college's Canvas installation, so I did a quick Google search of MLA at your school and came up with this page from the library:
MLA Works Cited Guidelines | Bakersfield College
It was updated in August 2016 for the 8th edition, so it is probably what your instructor is talking about. However, if you can't find specific information within your course, then I would look inside the course or Canvas for a link to the library and see if perhaps they put updated information inside Canvas but not on the public website.
It is also possible that your instructor has specific instructions but that you're having trouble locating it. You may want to reach out to your your instructor (usually you can do this from within Canvas by clicking Help and then "Ask your instructor a question") to make sure this information is what (s)he is after. Note that some instructors may have provided different instructions on how to contact them, so if this is the case, be sure to follow those instructions.
