Good day! I'm new in canvas and still exploring, just like to ask, can i share the whole module to my co-teacher? so that they can use it for their classes. Thank you in advance.
Hello reinard anog Welcome to the worldwide Canvas Community! There are a few possible ways this can be done. One way through Canvas Commons, IF your institution has chosen to enable it. You can indeed upload an entire Module through Commons. It will require a bit of administrative setup first, in that both you and your co-teacher must login to it. Commons is ordinarily set up to share among departments or one's institution, but any type of "group" can be set up, in theory--even between just two people.
Many faculty at my institution will simply add one's colleagues in as TAs to course or as Designers (which will block access to grades.) However, this would essentially share the entire course with another person, and I don't know how you feel about that.
And then there is the recent introduction of Blueprint courses (another thing that must be enabled by your campus administrator), though that, frankly, may be a bit of overkill for just two courses...but I'm tossing it out there as another possibility.
Hope this helps a bit.
Thank you very much for the reply. very much appreciated. continue sharing!
Hi reinard from InstructureCon 2017
Yes, this can be done, but you will need the assistance of your Canvas Admin or use Canvas Commons.
Using Course copy, any content can be copied (including entire modules) from any other course where the user has at least teacher-level permission. Learn more at How do I copy content from another Canvas course? Your Admin would have to enroll your co-teacher in your course..
Alternately, you can upload a course module to Canvas Commons, then your co-teacher could download that module from there into their course. Learn more at Guides: Commons
I hope this helps,
thank you very much for the help.
