For the courses we have in Canvas, the media files are stored in Arc Media Library. Is there a way to access these media files through API?
Hello Shriram Manoharan,
The Arc API is found at:
documentation for the API is found at:
Hi Danny Wahl,
Thanks for the Info. That's really helpful.
Though being an Admin, I get the below error message when trying to access. Am I missing anything obvious?
Welcome to Arc! The domain you are trying to access is not configured. Please use your account's subdomain or ask an administrator to create a new account for you.
RMIT has multiple accounts so the production arc dns is https://rmit-arc.instructuremedia.com/ in your case. If you need anything like this I suggest contacting your implimentation consultant or Customer Success Manager in future as it will be quicker.
Please note that the Arc API's are only considered Beta as the product is rapidly changing and the API's with it.
Hello there, Shriram Manoharan...
I wanted to check in with you because I noticed there hasn't been any new activity in this particular discussion topic since August 3rd. Though I don't know too much about APIs, it looks like both Danny Wahl and Brett Dalton have given you some good help here. Have you had a chance to review both of their replies? If so, did either of them help to answer your question? If you feel that one of the above replies is "Correct", please mark it as such. However, if you're still looking for some assistance, please come back to this topic to post a message below so that members of the Canvas Community can continue to help you out. For now, I'm going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" because we've not had any new activity in this thread for almost two months. However, that won't keep you or anyone else from posting additional questions/comments related to your topic below. I hope that's alright with you. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon, Shriram!
