A student sent a screenshot of having uploaded a paper...but I don't see the paper on my side. What could have gone wrong?
I'd suggest contacting your school's Canvas admin, or Canvas Support. They can audit the page views of your student, and confirm that you both are looking at the same course in the same environment, and why you can't see a submission by that user.
Is the student using Internet Explorer or Edge? We find funny things like this happen occasionally when IE or Edge is involved. Also double check with the student that they really did submit the paper to the correct assignment and course. We've also had that happen before!
We have also noticed problems if the student didn't have the file closed when they attached it and submitted. They need to make sure the file is saved and closed before they attempt submission.

I know it has been a while since you asked Marinela Castano, but we see this happen infrequently, and we typically find the submission in the Student's Files manager in Canvas. We have no idea why.
I hope this helps,
This question was at least one month ago and that course has now ended. Fortunately, I figured it out. Having a live “chat” function for instructors (rather than being directed to a website) would be so very helpful.
Marinela, are you referring to live chat for support? If so, a live chat option for instructors is available, depending on the level of support for which your school has contracted.
