Hello,

 

We, UC San Diego School of Medicine, are currently evaluating Canvas to replace our home-grown LMS. As we work through Canvas we aren't quite sure how to set-up courses properly. I'm sure many of you have the same course structure as we have so would any of you kind folks be willing to share your course organization/structure with us?

 

Some of the items that we are not sure where to put or organize:

  • Weekly Events that might or might not have an Assignment associated with it
  • Daily Events that might or might not have an Assignment associated with it
  • Class meeting times with and without Assignments
  • Different Faculty/Location for Events
  • etc...

 

Should Assignments/Events be broken up by week in Modules? What is the best way to organize this information?

 

I have been browsing the Canvas Discussions and Resources looking at different templates, which I have tried to recreate. Below is what I have now, am I on the right track?
