Is there a limit to the number of question banks that I can have in a course?
Hi Dawn Nelson
Disclaimer: this is not an official answer, and I doubt it matters.
I am sure there is a limit. there are limits to everything in this universe, even the universe itself. However, it hardly matters in terms of question banks. I have never encountered a limit. In one of my own courses my publisher-created question banks number over 400 (a set of individual item banks based on item type for each chapter, with 27 chapters). Several of my faculty have had us create sandboxes for them that are just used as repositories for question banks, and one of them has more than 1,000.
I am sure some engineer or over-achiever will pop in here with a finite number, but I doubt if it will matter much.
I hope this helps,
I am developing a course that may have a couple hundred question banks. I wanted to be sure that's possible. It sounds like it is!
Hi Dawn Nelson...
I thought that I would check in with you because there hasn't been any new activity in this discussion topic since your last reply on August 16th. It looks like Kelley L. Meeusen has given you some good advice here related to question banks. Since you first posted this question, have you had success with the number of question banks you're loading into a course? Do you feel that Kelley's responses has adequately answered your question? If so, please feel free to mark it as "Correct". However, if you are still in need of some assistance with this question, please let us know by posting a message below. For now, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" since there hasn't been any new postings on this topic for quite a while. I hope that's okay with you, Dawn. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
