An instructor escalated an issue from a student who was unable to schedule a new appointment slot, because they had missed the one they originally signed up for, and were unable to cancel that event so that they could sign up for a new slot.
Is this the intended behavior, or is there a way for students to cancel passed scheduler appointments?
Canvas documentation notes that students can "un-reserve" an appointment, but it does not note if this ability goes away once the date of the appointment passes:
If this is the intended behavior, was this a recent change? The instructor runs a very large course, where it's unlikely this would not have impacted them before.
