Calendar issues

I am having issues with my course calendar. I've tried going back and publishing everything, but now it is telling me I can't publish because the dates I'm specifying are "after the course ends."  In fact, they are in Sept of 2017, and the course is scheduled to end (I've checked settings several times) in Dec 2017.


When I go into student view, I can only see a few of the assignments I've posted.


I also can't find a way archive my past classes, so I wonder if the calendar is referring to a past course when it's giving me the error message?


In any case, I'm going to give up & post a weekly schedule in Files if nothing else works.
