Is there a way I can post a page in the menu for direct access instead of as a link?
Although it is very strange that you must use the Redirect Tool to do this, it does work!
So, just go to the Apps, add the Redirect Tool, and make sure to click the option to add the link to the navigation.
Go to Settings.
Then search for Redirect Tool.
Then Add App.
You will see this dialogue box:
Thank you for your quick response. I followed the steps above but saw no change. Was I suppose to use something other than "menu label here," a URL address??
I kept tinkering with it and was able to add the page to the menu bar!!! YES! Thank you very much lauragibbs!!
Excellent! I am so glad that worked. When my school switched to Canvas, that menu configuration thing was my very first question, and somebody helped me with that then. Was it you, Susan Nugent? Anyway, that's the great thing about the Community here. There's always somebody who can help!
Yes that was me. Happy to help
I have added a couple of pages to my menu for students to access. Last year, on my home page, I had links that students could also click to access these pages. Is there a way I can link the new redirected pages I placed in my menu to the links on my home page? I've included a screen shot below for you to review. The only item I can currently link is the modules link because they are showing under the link section in course navigation.
Hi Laura Ludwig! I am not quite sure I understand the question, but any link in the menu also has a URL (webpage address) that you can use to create links in a Page, like the page I see there in your screenshot.
Well duh, I definitely overlooked the obvious. Thank you very much for setting me straight. This worked perfectly.
