A course was accidentally deleted but not through SIS. Is it possible to get the course back some how?
Absolutely Terry Bickley, you would got to Admin tools under your Admin Settings, as shown below..........
However, this comes with a caveat, the field for Course ID means the ID number that Canvas assigns to your courses in its data base.
You can recover this number by going to your Beta or Test instance, then finding the Course ID on that course's URL as also shown below......
If you do not have access to Admin functionality, you will need to ask your local Canvas Admin.

Kelly - from what I understand that only works when a course has been deleted through SIS. I've tried to restore the course as undelete and through
the admin tools but neither works. I can't create a course and replace the ID because it tells me the course already exist. I uploaded a course csv file hoping
that would restore it and it does show one course but I still am unable to locate the actual course anywhere. Any other suggestions?
Contact Canvas Support. They have more visibility and tools available.

If all of that failed, then contact your CSM. We have had to do that in the past and the support team can restore it for you. Help them out by providing the Canvas course ID number.
One thing we've all learned from watching cop shows on TV is that nothing is ever truly deleted in the magic world of computing!
