Hi all!

I just got permission from a Canvas representative to post news of our scholarship. We'd be grateful if you could help us spread the word.

About the Drone STEM Scholarship

We just launched a scholarship to support high school students interested in becoming commercial drone pilots, and we wanted to post it here to help spread the word among educators who work in STEM subjects.

The scholarship supports high school students sixteen and up who are serious about becoming a certified drone pilot by helping them prepare for the FAA's Part 107 test. An additional goal is to help further the use of drones in STEM education.

Career Opportunities in the Drone Industry

These days there are hundreds of jobs you can do as a drone pilot—from working as an  aerial cinematographer, to helping farmers grow crops more efficiently, even to using an inexpensive drone to get insights into the status of a wildfire.

Scholarship recipients will get free access to Drone Pilot Ground School's remote test prep course for the FAA's Part 107 test (value of $299), and the first 100 students to take their test will have their test fee covered (up to $150), for a total value of approximately $450.

The application can be found at
